The University of Maryland's Premier Jewish A Cappella Group
Founded in 1997 as the University of Maryland’s premier Jewish a cappella group, Kol Sasson has been serving the national Jewish community with song for over twenty years. Comprised of students from all backgrounds, studies, and cities around the country, the members of Kol Sasson come together to perform repertoire ranging from English classics to Israeli pop, traditional Jewish melodies, and more.
In addition to performing across the country at simchas, synagogues, day schools, and organization events such as, the International Hillel Summit, the National Security Agency Holocaust Memorial Service, and the White House Hanukkah reception, Kol Sasson has recorded eight professional CDs. These albums are available for listening and for purchase in hard copy, as well as on iTunes and Spotify. Released in the spring of 2018, Kol Sasson is now featuring its latest album: Earthquake.
Kol Sasson tours annually to a different region of the United States, visiting with and performing for Jewish communities in Los Angeles, New York, Miami, and everywhere in between. Be sure to catch Kol Sasson moving down the east coast from March 15th through March 25th as Washington, D.C., Virginia, and the Carolinas host Kol Sasson’s Coastal Tour 2019.
